Captain Todd Perry

Capt. Todd Perry, a native of Escondido, California, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April 1982. Upon completion of Machinist Mate “A” School and Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Class 123 in July 1983, Perry reported to SEAL Team 3 as a plankowner. After achieving the rank of senior chief, in 1997 Perry was commissioned as a Naval Special Warfare limited duty officer and converted to the 1130 Navy SEAL designator in 2011.
 
His sea tours have been at SEAL Team 1, 3, 8; Naval Special Warfare Unit 2; and 18 years at Naval Special Warfare Development Group. He has conducted multiple operational deployments to Asia, Europe, Africa and Central America. In 2019, Perry completed his 21st deployment, serving as commander, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Iraq (CJSOTF-I) 19-2, which followed a CJSOTF-I deputy commander deployment in 2016.
His shore tours have been at Naval Special Warfare Group 2 Logistics and Support Unit, Naval Special Warfare Center, and Naval Special Warfare Advanced Training Command as the commanding officer.
 
In 2018, Perry received a master’s degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College.
