Lieutenant Joshua R. Lamb

Lt. Joshua Lamb is a native of Gainesville, Missouri and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2006 as an equipment operator (EO). After recruit training in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended EO “A” School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. In 2017, he earned a commission through the Limited Duty Officer Program and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from American Military University.
 
His enlisted tours include Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 74 where he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Djibouti, Africa and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) Detachment Fort Leonard Wood as a Navy Military Trainer and EO “A” School instructor; a second tour with NMCB-74 where he deployed to Djibouti, Africa assigned as alfa company operations chief; and NMCB-11 where he completed two deployments to Rota, Spain as the embarkation lead petty officer and transportation supervisor.
 
Upon commissioning, Lamb attended Civil Engineer Corps Officers School basic qualifications course, graduating with Basic Class #263 and beginning his first tour as an officer with NMCB-5 as the convoy security element officer; chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) officer; officer in charge in Camp Pendleton during the Pacific Blitz exercise; and deployed to Korea as the Naval Construction Force (NCF) Korean Theater of Operations liaison officer.  In 2019, he transferred to Naval Construction Group 1 as the plans officer (N5) responsible for NCF strategy, policies, doctrine, long-range planning, and the development of NCF operation plans/concept plans in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.
 
In 2021, Lamb assumed duties as the officer in charge of CSFE Detachment Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
 
Lamb’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Army Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign awards. He is qualified as a master training specialist, Seabee combat warfare specialist, and expeditionary warfare specialist.
