NSCS hosts Women's History Month Panel

Student Check-In Information
All students will report directly to their classroom no later than 0745 at the Navy Supply Corps School, 1378 Porter Ave., Newport, R.I. 02841. Classroom assignments will be posted on the entry screen located at the east entrance to the schoolhouse. If you have questions, the NSCS command duty officer is available 24/7 at (601) 479-5775.

Orders Requirements
Students will be expected to turn in a copy of their approved travel orders the first morning of the class convening date. Failure to provide the instructor with a hard copy of their travel orders by noon on the class convening date will result in the student's disenrollment from the course.

Training
All incoming students (except HAZMAT) are required to complete the latest DoD Cyber Awareness training.  This may be completed through Navy eLearning. Type in “DoD Cyber Awareness” and then click the button to enroll and launch the training. Bring a hard copy of your completed certificate with you to the NSCS.

If you do NOT have a CAC card, go to the DoD Cyber Exchange to complete the latest “Cyber Awareness Challenge” training and bring a hard copy of your certificate with you to the Navy Supply Corps School.

Transportation
Individuals without a Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) or rental car are advised to utilize local taxi/shuttle services. For further taxi/shuttle information, please email nscs_nwpt_courseinformation@us.navy.mil. If utilizing shuttle services, advance notice to the taxi/shuttle service is strongly recommended.

Lodging
For booking reservations, go to Navy Gateway Inns & Suites Naval Station Newport or call 1-877-NAVY-BED (628-9233).

If base lodging is not available and a Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA) is issued, a rental car will be necessary for students to get on/off base. Military personnel who obtain off-base lodging without first receiving a CNA via telephone or upon arrival from NGIS Newport may be responsible for the difference between the CBQ rates and their off-base lodging costs.

Meal Rate
Officer and enlisted members performing Temporary Duty (TEMDU) or Temporary Duty Under Instruction (TEMDUINS) while stationed aboard Naval Station Newport are authorized the proportional meal rate (PMR) of per diem. This authorization is for Active Duty members as well as Reserve Members performing Active Duty Training (ADT).
