Senior Chief William E. Hill

Senior Chief Aviation Electrician’s Mate William E. Hill, a native of Washington state, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in October 1999. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Aviation Electrician’s Mate “A” School in Pensacola, Florida. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 230, Green) located in New Park, Rhode Island. He is qualified as an enlisted aviation warfare specialist and enlisted surface warfare specialist.
 
His sea assignments include tours with USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) supporting U.S. 5th Fleet operations;  USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in support of 5th Fleet operations; USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) in support of 5th Fleet operations;  7th Fleet operations aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73) and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76); USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in support of 5th Fleet operations; and VAQ-132  in an expedition environment to the 7th Fleet area of responsibility.

His shore assignments include: Fighter Squadron (VF) 101 in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102, first located in Lemoore, California, and then Atsugi, Japan; Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 130;  VAQ-133; VFA-102;  VAQ-142; and VAQ-132.                                                   
  
Hill currently serves as senior enlisted leader for Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
 
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and numerous unit and campaign awards.
