Maintenance Training Unit 1005
H-60 Aircraft Training
MTU 1005 provides training on the H-60 Helicopter and its associated weapon systems. This is accomplished by using classroom instruction and hands-on component installation and removal on several trainers, as well as on actual aircraft maintained in the hangar. Computer based trainers develop and test students' troubleshooting skills, comprehension, and component location through problem elimination. AD, AE, AM, AO, and AT phases are represented, along with T-700 Intermediate Level repair course. MTU 1005 is located in the Paul Nelson Building (926).

Maintenance Training Unit 1011
P-3 Aircraft Training
MTU 1011 provides training on the P-3 Aircraft and its associated weapon systems. This is accomplished by using classroom instruction and hands-on component installation and removal on several trainers. This training consists of organizational and intermediate level maintenance courses and two aircrew courses for In-flight Technicians and Flight Engineers. Upon completion, students will have sufficient knowledge of the P-3 Aircraft, Maintenance Training Improvement Program, Hazardous Materials, Maintenance Data Systems, Electronic Discharge, Ramp Safety, APU Operation and tool control to perform "O" level and "I" Level maintenance under supervision. AD, AE, AM, AO, AVO, AVI, and FE phases are represented. MTU 1011 is located in building 848 and is the largest MTU at CNATTU Jax.

MTU 7034 provides initial and advanced training for HELO and P-3 Naval Aircrew. This is accomplished by using classroom instruction and hands-on computer based simulation. This training consists of intermediate level courses where the student develops environmental, comprehension, and analytical skills. With the advanced Training MTU 7034 provides refresher courses for already qualified personnel. The MTU consists of highly experienced and dedicated Naval Aircrew instructors. The classrooms are located on the second floor of building 700.
