PURPOSE:
This course is designed to provide U. S. Marine Corps personnel with basic knowledge and skills training required to perform as Marine Air Traffic Control Radar Technicians. Graduates of this course will perform intermediate level maintenance, under all operating conditions, with appropriate supervision, on the AN/TPN-22 at Marine Air Traffic Control Detachments.
SCOPE:
This course provides detailed technical instruction on theory of operation, initialization, electronic theory and technology, analog and digital circuit analysis, safety practices, preventive and corrective maintenance, alignment procedures and troubleshooting techniques to the assembly, subassembly or component level as directed by SM&R codes for the AN/TPN-22 (PAR). The course includes instruction in surveying, siting, installation and test equipment used with the AN/TPN-22 (PAR).

ASVAB=EL-105 and

COURSE=103-2072, MATC TECH COMMON and

OTHER=1. Normal color perception.
