PURPOSE:
This course is designed to provide U.S. Marine Corps personnel with basic knowledge, skills, and training to perform as Marine Air Traffic Control Navigational Aids Technicians on the AN/TRN-44. Graduates of this course will perform AN/TRN-44 maintenance at the intermediate level within Marine Air Control Squadrons, Air Traffic Control Detachments or Marine Corps Air Stations. Graduates of this course will perform under all operating conditions, with appropriate supervision.
SCOPE:
This course provides technical instruction on theory of operation, module/circuit card analysis, safety practices, preventive and corrective maintenance, alignments procedures, and troubleshooting techniques to the lowest repairable module/curcuit card as directed by SM&R codes for the AN/TRN-44 (TACAN). This course includes test equipment used with the AN/TRN-44.

ASVAB=EL-105 and

OTHER=1. Normal color perception.
