PURPOSE:
To provide selected Navy and Marine Corps enlisted personnel with basic knowledge and skills required to perform satisfactory maintenance and administrative duties and, when followed by appropriate applications, to lead to the fulfillment of the technical requirements at the apprentice entry level.
SCOPE:
This course covers technical publications and forms; AC and DC power generating and motor driven equipment; internal combustion and gas turbine engine operating principles, constructions, mechanical and electrical systems; chassis and brake systems; power train theory; hydraulic and air conditioning fundamentals and maintenance. Students are provided with an introduction into cyrogenics, corrosion control and basic troubleshooting.
PREREQUISITES:
ASVAB=ASVAB: AR+MK+EI+GS=200. USMC: MM=105; EL=105 (no waiver). and

OTHER=Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal color perception. Volunteer for aviation duty, mechanical training, or aptitude is required. and
