PURPOSE:
Aviation Boatswains Mate Launch and Recovery Equipment Class A1 Course trains selected personnel, (E1 to E4) to perform the duties of an apprentice Catapult and Arresting Gear crew member under supervision. Fulfillment of the objectives will enable these personnel to assist in the operations and maintenance of the shipboard Catapult and Arresting Gear Systems.
SCOPE:
The course is designed to train the student in FOD, 3M System, PQS, tool control, safety wire and torquing applications, PME, basic hydraulics, packing and seals, corrosion control methods, NAVAIR manuals, basic aviation, hazardous materials in aircraft, and flight deck clothing.
PREREQUISITES:
ASVAB=ASVAB : AR+MC+AS=130. and

OTHER=Physical Requirements: 20/20 vision corrected, normal color perception, normal hearing. and
