Student Information

All students are expected to check in at the Quarterdeck in Building 11 at Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center (FLEASWTRACEN) and will be given a berthing assignment by Training Support Center (TSC). If checking in after hours, Duty TSC will provide an after hour’s room for use until the next business day. All students will check in with the Naval Military Training (NMT) staff, located on the 4th deck of Building 11, room 433B. Initial Entry Students will be assigned a phase. Initial Entry Students who check in during an evening or on a weekend will be phase 1 until they have checked into NMT.

Be in the Uniform of the Day when reporting aboard. Navy Service Uniform (NSU) year round.

If you are driving, ensure your vehicle is properly registered. Be able to provide proof of registration and insurance in order to receive a base sticker. All out of state vehicles that are more than 4 years old require a smog check. Parking is only provided onboard FLEASWTRACEN for Staff and E-4 and above. A new student lot has been provided to all students on the waterfront. TSC has parking passes for students to access the base to park only in that lot. There is also an overflow parking available adjacent to the base.

Vehicle stickers are issued at Naval Base Point Loma. Temporary passes can be issued by FLEASWTRACEN pass and decal office after hours at the front gate. If you are flying, the base is located less than a mile from the airport. There is a United States Service Organization (USO) located outside terminal 2 and they can assist in the coordination of travel to the base for military personnel. Ensure you receive a good night's sleep the day before you commence class. Contact the FLEASWTRACEN Quarterdeck if additional assistance is required, (619) 524-1689.

The FLEASWTRACEN main gate is located at Laning Road and North Harbor Drive.

If you are attending, Missile Command Course (CMCC), Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System Operations and Maintenance (TTWCS O & M), TTWO, and Tactical Tomahawk Weapons System- Engineering (TTWS-E), Global Command and Control Systems 4.X (GCCS 4.X), Global Command and Control Systems-Maritime (GCCS-M WO), Over The Horizon-Targeting (OTH-T C4I), Common Operational Picture ( COP) Advanced,C4I System Engineering the schools location will be on the Third Fleet Complex. The main gate is located on the west side Catalina Boulevard and Electron Drive. Classes convene in the breezeway of BLDG 56.

All student personnel when checking-in, regardless of the hour of the day, should report to the FLEASWTRACEN Quarterdeck, 33150 Destroyer Lane, San Diego, Ca. 92147-5199, Building 11 Galery Hall, Commercial (619) 524-1689. The Officer of the Deck will stamp your orders when you check-in to the command. FLEASWTRACEN is located directly east oof the overflow parking lot bridge on Naval Base Point Loma Harbor Drive Annex. Please esure visit request is forwarded to JPAS SMO Code N009486.

Undersea Warfare Command Course Prospective Commanding Officer / Prospective Executive Officer:

USW Command Course:
USW Command Course students should contact Course Managers at (619) 524-1873/5662/0099 for additional support. Students sould check-in from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the day of class convening. A Course Supervisor will meet you on the quarterdeck to provide additional check-in procedures.

Tomahawk and GCCS-M Courses:
Tomahawk and GCCS-M students should contact Course Managers at (619) 553-8287 for additional support.

Staff Information

All staff checking onboard Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center, located off of Harbor Drive, will check in at the Quarterdeck, located in Building 11.

--Personnel arriving for instructor orders to FLEASWTRACEN located on the Third Fleet Base will also check in at the QD at FLEASWTRACEN.

--If you are driving, ensure your vehicle is properly registered, and be able to provide proof of registration and insurance in order to receive a base sticker. Vehicle stickers are issued at Naval Base Point Loma and Naval Station San Diego.

--Temporary passes can be issued by FLEASWTRACEN pass and decal office located on the base before the gate. For driving directions check the internet, if that is not available use harbor drive north from the airport, we are the first base on the left.

--If you are flying, the base is located less than a mile from the airport. There is a USO located outside terminal 2 and they can assist in the coordination of travel to the base for military personnel.

--Those checking in from Instructor Training School must check into FLEASWTRACEN the same day as graduation. (i.e. graduate on 12 Jan, check in FASW 12 Jan). Failure to check in promptly may result in lost leave time.

San Diego Child Development Programs

Child Development Programs
Child Development programs are offered to ages 6 weeks to 5 years at Child Development Centers (CDC) throughout San Diego. Caregivers receive extensive training in the development of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to ensure an enriching day care experience for young Navy family members. Program elements include age appropriate activities, participation in the USDA food program, and monthly training requirements of staff.

Child Development Homes (CDH) services are provided in on-base government and housing and off-base civilian housing. It is a cost-effective means of expanding childcare capacity by offering convenient childcare options for evenings, weekends, and hourly care. The homes and CDH Providers are subject to the same high-quality standards for childcare as the Child Development Centers.

Childcare participant fees are based on total family income.

The Regional Childcare Resource and Referral Office (CCRR) maintains the consolidated Wait List for all six Child Development Centers in metro San Diego located on Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Point Loma, MCRD, MCAS Miramar, Naval Medical Center and Murphy Canyon housing area and for spaces in Navy licensed Child Development Homes (in-home care).
