Staff Check-In

Upon arrival to the Navy Supply Corps School (NSCS), all staff is required to check-in on the second deck of NSCS (Building 1378) with their sponsor and meet with the Administrative Officer located in room 216. The phone number for the Administrative Assistant is (401) 841-4800. Please bring any records from your previous duty station, including medical and personnel files.

Prior to arrival, all incoming staff members must complete both a System Access Authorization (SAAR) form, as well as DoD Cyber Awareness v2 Training. Please complete both and bring hard copies with you to the Navy Supply Corps School.

All incoming students (except HAZMAT) are required to complete DoD Cyber Awareness v4 training. If you have a CAC card, go to MNP and click the Learning tab at the top of the page. Go to Learning --> Navy eLearning/Online Courses. Type in DoD Cyber Awareness and then click the button to enroll and launch the v4 training. Bring a hard copy of your completed certificae with you to the Navy Supply Corps School.

If you do NOT have a CAC card, go to http://iatraining.disa.mil/eta/cyberchallenge/launchpage.htm to complete Cyber Awareness training and bring a hard copy of your certificate with you to the Navy Supply Corps School.

Student Check-In

BQC/DIVOLC Check-in:
All BQC/DIVOLC students will check-in with the Educational Counselor, located on the first deck of the Navy Supply Corps School, between 08:00 am - 4:00 pm, M-F, in dress blues/whites (seasonal). If checking in after hours, contact the CDO at (401) 585-5901.

Student Check-in Information:
All students (excluding BQC) will report directly to their classroom no later than 7:45 a.m. at the Navy Supply Corps School, 1378 Porter Ave., Newport, R.I. 02841. Classroom assignments will be posted on the marquee located at the east entrance to the schoolhouse. The NSCS Command Duty Officer (CDO) is available 24/7 at (401) 585-5901.

Orders Requirements
Students will be expected to turn in a copy of their approved travel orders the first morning of the class convening date. Failure to provide the instructor with a hard copy of their travel orders by 12:00 p.m. of the class convening date will result in the student's disenrollment from the course.

Transportation Information:
Individuals without a Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) or rental car to NAVSTA Newport are advised to utilize local taxi/shuttle services. For further taxi/shuttle information, please email nscs_nwpt_courseinformation@navy.mil. If utilizing shuttle services, advance notice to the taxi/shuttle service is strongly recommended.

The Navy Supply Corps School is located on the Newport Navy Base (NAVSTA NEWPORT) at 1378 Porter Avenue, Newport, RI 02841.

Base lodging is now pet friendly! Contact the above lodging number for applicable fees/rates. If base lodging is not available and a Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA) is issued, a rental car will be necessary for students to get on/off base. Military personnel who obtain off-base lodging without first receiving a CNA via telephone or upon arrival from NGIS Newport may be responsible for the difference between the CBQ rates and their off-base lodging costs.

Meal Rate:
Officer and enlisted members performing Temporary Duty (TEMDU) or Temporary Duty Under Instruction (TEMDUINS) while stationed aboard Naval Station Newport are authorized the proportional meal rate (PMR) of per diem. This authorization is for active duty members as well as reserve members performing Active Duty Training (ADT).
