Berthing:

Navy Gateway Inn (NGI)

Private room with bath at the NGI is $55.00 per night. VIP accommodations are available for senior officers. Spouse can reside in the room for no additional cost. No children under twelve years old are permitted in the CBQ. The third guest will pay an additional $5.00 per day.

Messing:

Government messing is available in Building 3202, the Dining Facility. Meals are pay as you go, set prices. Current prices are: Breakfast $3.45, Lunch $5.55 and Dinner $4.85. Enlisted students under the International Military Education and Training (IMET) program will be compensated for the cost of meals. No closed government messing is available for officers. Officers may eat at the dining facility.

If you do not wish to use government messing, there are several other dining facilities onboard the Naval Base.

Transportation:

Regularly scheduled trolley service provides transportation from the Naval Base to downtown San Diego.

Commercial taxi service may be obtained by calling one of the many taxi services listed in the local telephone directory.

Automobiles are available for rent by day, week or month. Arrangements can be made by contacting one of the rental agencies listed in the local telephone directory. The closest car rental business is located in the Navy Exchange complex located on the "wet" side of the Naval Base.
