Command Master Chief Todd E. Strebin

Command Master Chief Todd Strebin, a native of Danville, Illinois, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in September 1990, completing Aviation Machinist’s Mate “A” School in Millington, Tennessee.  He is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 169, Purple) and the Command Master Chief Course (Class 151) in Newport, Rhode Island.  He earned his naval aircrew wings and is designated a specialist in aviation, expeditionary and information warfare.
 
Strebin left active duty after four years, but re-entered the U.S. Navy in 1996 and attended Cryptologic Technician Collection “A” School.


Strebin’s sea and operational tours include Attack Squadron (VA) 42 stationed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, Virginia; the Joint Expeditionary Signal Intelligence Tactical Reconnaissance Detachment in Iraq; Carrier Strike Group 7 based at NAS North Island, California; U.S. 10th Fleet based at NAS North Island; and Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington.
 
His shore tours include Naval Security Group Activities (NSGA) Sabana Seca, Puerto Rico; NSGA Misawa, Japan; Naval Strike and Warfare Center at Fallon, Nevada, Navy Information Operations Command in Honolulu, Hawaii and Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training in Pensacola, Florida.
 
He is currently the Naval Aviation Schools Command (NASC) command master chief at NAS Pensacola, Florida.
 
Strebin’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Air Medal (four strike/flight), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with “V” (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards); and other personal, unit and service decorations.
