Captain Jeffrey A. Brown

Capt. Jeffrey A. Brown, a native of Williamsburg, Kentucky, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1990. Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts from Chowan College and a Master of Project Management from Western Carolina University.

His enlisted assignments include serving at Naval Satellite Communications Facility Northwest and aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) and USS Cyclone (PC 1).

Brown was selected for commissioning in 2000, and is a Distinguished Naval Graduate of Officer Candidate School.  His operational tours include assignments as maintenance material control officer for Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81 and VFA-131; and maintenance officer for Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 and USS George Washington (CVN 73). 

His shore tours include assistant maintenance officer for Training Air Wing (TW) 1; quality assurance officer for Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) Mid-Atlantic; maintenance officer for Helicopter Sea Combat Wing (HSCWL) Atlantic; fixed wing military director for Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers; aircraft on ground director for Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic; and production officer for FRC Southwest.

Brown currently serves as executive officer for the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training, Pensacola, Florida.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards).

He is industry-certified as a Project Management Professional by Project Management Institute, Certified Quality Engineer by American Society for Quality, and Certified Manufacturing Engineer by SME.  Brown is also designated as a professional aviation maintenance officer.
