NROTC students and staff members from the Universities of Idaho/Washington State, Oregon State, Utah and Washington compete in military drill, academic and athletic events

220409-N-IK959-1458, SEATTLE (April 9, 2022) -- Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) midshipmen, officer candidates and Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) members begin a running race as part of a physical fitness competition during the 2022 Northwest Navy Academic, Athletic and Drill competition on the University of Washington campus, April 9. More than 250 NROTC students and staff members from the Universities of Idaho/Washington State, Oregon State, Utah and Washington competed in military drill, academic and athletic events at the one-day contest. Northwest Navy has been held on a rotating basis between the schools since 1957. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this was the first time all units were able to compete in person since 2019. (U. S.
