Lieutenant Khalfani Watson

Lt. Khalfani Watson, hailing from Sacramento, California, graduated from Tuskegee University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 2010 and reported to Naval Air Station Pensacola for aviation indoctrination.

His operational assignments include Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 3 as a naval flight officer (NFO), ultimately qualifying as a combat systems officer and mission commander. He also served aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as the assistant strike officer, officer of the deck and command security manager.

Watson served his shore tour at U.S. Naval Forces Europe, U.S. Naval Forces Africa, U.S. 6th Fleet as the airborne collection manager in the N21 directorate, Naples, Italy.

He is currently the officer in charge, Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT) Detachment Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

Watson's personal awards include the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, along with various unit and service awards.
