The Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment (CNATT DET) Point Mugu, located at Naval Base Ventura County – Point Mugu, supports the Navy's future fleet of Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton long-range unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

CNATT DET Point Mugu provides technical and maintenance training for the MQ-4C and mission control systems.

Maintenance training is conducted at the new state-of-the-art Triton schoolhouse containing electronic classrooms, Flight Control Trainer, Avionics Trainer, Landing Gear Trainer, Engine Repair Trainer, Fiber Optics Repair Lab and a Composite/Airframe Repair Lab. Our instructors and staff are committed to providing exceptional training and preparing the future fleet maintainers of the Navy’s newest UAS platform.

Mission

CNATT Detachment Point Mugu will produce Sailors with the required technical knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed as highly competent and professional Naval Aviation maintainers by providing organizational level maintenance technical training for the MQ-4C aircraft and associated mission control systems across the fleet. Training and mentoring today's Sailors to build tomorrow's leaders!
