Sailors assigned to the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Asheville (SSN 758) train in the Ships Control Operator Trainer at Naval Submarine Training Center Pacific.

NSTCP logoNaval Submarine Training Center Pacific (NSTCP) provides current and accurate engineering and tactical team training, formal courses of instruction to U.S. Pacific Fleet submarines, using the most advanced teaching techniques and tailoring to each ship’s specific needs a plan to develop team skills and individual expertise to support the fleet in the conduct of operations in war and peace.

On an average day, about 75 military, civilian, and international students train at NSTCP training sites in Hawaii and Guam.

NSTCP is located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and reports to the Submarine Learning Center. Mission The Naval Submarine Training Center Pacific mission is management of three major functions:
