Command Master Chief Frank Samuel Jackson

Command Master Chief Jackson, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in February 1995. After boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Aviation Electronics Technician “A” School in Millington, Tennessee. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 202 (Orange) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course, Class 179. He holds an Associate of Arts in Electronics from Coastline Community College.

His initial duty station was Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) Patuxent River, Maryland, where he served as payload technician for the first unmanned aerial vehicle program. His subsequent tours of duty include Fleet Composite Squadron (VC) 6 Detachment Patuxent River, St Inigoes, Maryland; AIMD Norfolk, Virginia; VC-6 Detachment Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, Virginia; Instructor “A” School at Naval Air Technical Training Center, Pensacola, Florida; Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron (HM) 15, Norfolk, Virginia; and Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA) Detachment Norfolk, Virginia.

Upon his selection to command senior chief in 2017, he was appointed the duties of senior enlisted leader while attached to FRCMA Norfolk. After promotion to command master chief, he went on to serve aboard USS Little Rock (LCS 9) Blue (Crew 109) from March 2018 to March 2020 and USS Nitze (DDG 94) from March 2020 to July 2022.

He is currently assigned to Mariner Skills Training Center Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, as Surface Warfare Schools Command regional senior enlisted leader.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and numerous service and campaign awards.
