Captain Christopher G. Bryant

Capt. Christopher Bryant, a native of Pace, Florida, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Arkansas State University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Regis University. Bryant received his commission through Officer Candidate School in July 1996 and earned his Naval Flight Officer wings in October 1997.
 

His operational assignments include: service with Antarctic Development Squadron 6 (VXE-6) in Point Mugu, Calif., where he was designated as a polar transport navigator and completed two deployments to Antarctica; Patrol Squadron 9 (VP-9) in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, where he served as tactical coordinator (TACCO), mission commander (MC), standoff land attack missile crew member, weapons training officer, and tactics department head and completed two deployments to Misawa, Japan and the Kingdom of Bahrain; a Personnel Exchange tour with the Dutch Navy in Valkenburg, The Netherlands, where he served as as the detachment officer in charge and TACCO/MC, flying with Royal Netherlands Navy Squadron 320 leading multiple deployments to Curacao in support of counter narcotic missions; USS George Washington (CVN 73) where he served as the assistant air operations officer and qualified as officer of the deck underway and assistant air operations officer; NIOC Bahrain as executive officer where he earned his information warfare officer insignia and qualified as a naval air observer; and Carrier Strike Group 12 as deputy information warfare commander where he qualified as force tactical action officer.

His shore assignments include: Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Maryland where he worked in the Information Warfare Support Center as the branch chief for America’s team coordinating requirements for various combatant commands in support of national objectives and was selected for lateral transfer into the information warfare community; Office of Naval Operations for Information Warfare as staff at the Pentagon; Center for Information Dominance Unit Corry Station as commanding officer; Joint Staff in Strategy, Plans and Policy as division chief for cyber policy; and Fleet Cyber Command as the assistant chief of staff for plans and policy.

Bryant assumed command of the Center for Information Warfare Training, July 22, 2022.

Bryant wears the Information Warfare and Naval Flight Officer insignias. His decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Award, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Air Medal (First Strike/Flight Award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards) and various other campaign, service and unit awards.
