Lieutenant Shanice S. Wormley

Lt. Shanice S. Wormley, a native of Prince George's County, Maryland, graduated in 2018 from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in Flight Education. She earned her commission through the Hampton Roads Navy ROTC program. 

Her assignments include assistant department head, instructor tactical coordinator and mission commander at Patrol Squadron 4, where she flew more than 870 hours of anti-submarine warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions in the P-8A Poseidon in support of Commander Task Force (CTF) 57, CTF-67 and CTF-32. 

She reported to Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit Lemoore Detachment Point Mugu as officer in charge in June 2024.

She is designated a naval flight officer. Her personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign awards.

Lapse in Appropriations: The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025.
Military personnel will continue in normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
