Lieutenant Commander Mario Arias-Davison

LCDR Mario “C-BAM” Arias-Davison is a native of Acapulco, Mexico, and was raised in San Juan Capistrano, California.  He enlisted as an aviation machinist mate in October 2000 and was commissioned via the Limited Duty Officer/Chief Warrant Officer Academy in Newport, Rhode Island, in April 2015. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2015 and a Master of Science in Project Management from Florida Institute of Technology in 2023.
 
His sea tours include USS Tarawa (LHA-1), San Diego, California; Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 115, Atsugi, Japan, where he deployed onboard USS George Washington (CVN 73); Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 15, San Diego; HSC-21, San Diego; where he deployed onboard USS Essex (LHD-2); and Airborne Command and Control Squadron (VAW) 117, Point Mugu, California, where he deployed onboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).

His shore tours include AIMD Misawa, Japan, Marines Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 12, transitioning as a plank owner to AIMD Iwakuni, Japan; and Airborne Command and Control Logistics Wing (ACCLOGWING) as readiness officer, Point Mugu, California.

He began serving as assistant officer in charge, Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit Lemoore Detachment Point Mugu in April 2025.

His personal qualifications and decorations include the 2022 Captain Charles J. “Chuck” Nechvatal Award, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards) and numerous deployment and unit service awards.

Lapse in Appropriations: The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025.
Military personnel will continue in normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
