Senior Chief Aviation Machinist’s Mate Jason T. Nothdurft

Senior Chief Aviation Machinist’s Mate Jason T. Nothdurft, a native of Schroon Lake, New York, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999, and after boot camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Aviation Machinist’s Mate “A” School. 

His operational assignments include Patrol Squadron (VP) 26, where he completed multiple detachments and deployments; Special Projects Patrol Squadron (VPU) 1, where he qualified safe-for-flight, completing multiple maintenance detachments; aircraft division chief, VP-8; and quality assurance senior chief petty officer (SCPO) and maintenance control SCPO, Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 4.

His shore tours include “A” school instructor, Naval Aviation Technical Training Center, where he qualified as a master training specialist and instructor evaluator.

Nothdurft reported to CNATT Detachment Tinker Air Force Base as senior enlisted leader in May 2023.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various campaign and unit awards.

He is qualified as an enlisted aviation warfare specialist.
