Lieutenant Commander Allison R. Samp

Lt. Cmdr. Samp, a native of North Palm Beach, Florida, graduated from the George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2012. Upon graduation, she received a commission through the Naval Reserve Officers Trainings Corps as a human resources officer. She holds a Master of Science degree in Operations Research and a Joint Professional Military Education Phase I certification at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California in 2016. Samps was awarded the Military Operations Research Society (MORS) Tisdale Graduate Research Prize for outstanding thesis.
 
Samp’s assignments include recruiter at Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Diego for the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate Program and division officer for the Reserve and prior-service missions at NRD San Diego; operation research analyst for Supply Chain Operations (NETC N3) at Naval Education and Training Command in Dam Neck, Virginia; and head of statistics for Distribution Management at Navy Personnel Command (NPC).
 
She assumed the role as executive officer of Naval Technical Training Center Meridian in August 2022.
 
Samp’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various other personal and unit awards.  She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources.
