Captain David Pavlik

Capt. David Pavlik received his commission in 2000 from the California Maritime Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School.

His operational assignments include Electrical Division and Auxiliaries Division Officer aboard USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), Auxiliaries Officer aboard USS Germantown (LSD 42), OI Division Officer and Assistant Strike Officer aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), and Operations Officer aboard USS Thach (FFG 43).

His shore assignments include serving on the staff of Commander Naval Surface Forces; as Enlisted Programs Officer and Recruiting Operations Officer at Navy Recruiting District San Diego; as an action officer within the J1/Force Management Directorate at United States Special Operations Command; as the Commanding Officer, Military Entrance Processing Station Lansing, Michigan; as Commanding Officer, Navy Recruiting District Michigan; as National Enlisted Programs Officer on the staff of Commander, Navy Recruiting Command; as Deputy Commander, Navy Recruiting
Region Central; and most recently as Executive Assistant to the Commander, Navy Recruiting Command.

He became the 22nd commanding officer of the Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center April 14, 2023.

Capt. Pavlik’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal. He has served on teams that earned various unit and campaign awards including the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and the “Battle E.”
