Commander Christina Humphries

 
Cmdr. Christina Humphries, a native of Carlsbad, California, attended the University of San Diego, earning her commission through Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps.
 
Cmdr. Humphries was commissioned in May 2005 and served her first division officer tour as the strike officer on aboard the USS Chosin (CG 65), from 2005-2007, completing two Arabian Gulf deployments. In her second division officer tour, she commissioned USS Sterett (DDG 104) as the anti-submarine warfare officer and information systems officer from 2007-2009.
 
Following her graduate education at the Naval Postgraduate School (M.A. National Security Affairs), she served as the strike warfare instructor at Fleet ASW Training Center from 2011-2012, where she earned her Master Training Specialist certification.
 
Cmdr. Humphries served as the weapons officer and combat systems officer on USS Russell (DDG 59) from 2013-2016, completing an 18-month overhaul and an Arabian Gulf deployment. Following her department head tours, Cmdr. Humphries served as the C5I officer and scheduler at Commander Naval Surface Forces, US Pacific Fleet’s Type Commander Material Inspection Team from 2016-2019, inspecting all classes of ships in the Pacific Fleet. She also served as the commissioning officer in charge of USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5) from 2020-2021.
 
She currently serves as the executive officer for Naval Leadership and Ethics Command San Diego.

Cmdr. Humphries’ personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (three awards) and Navy Achievement Medal (three awards), and several service and campaign awards.
