    Commanding Officer, Submarine Learning Facility Norfolk

    Cmdr. Brian Rhoades, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1998. He worked in R&D for the automotive industry in Auburn Hills, Michigan while completing a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University prior to earning his commission in 2002 through Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida.

    Lieutenant Commander Matthew Campbell

    Executive Officer, Submarine Learning Facility Norfolk

    Lt. Cmdr. Matt Campbell enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 2003. He was selected for the Seaman to Admiral-21 Program in 2005 and commissioned in 2008 through the Virginia Tech ROTC program, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management.
