Command Master Chief Michael Rodriguez

Command Master Chief Michael Rodriguez, a native of Chicago, Illinois, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1998, and after boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Hospital Corpsman “A” School. He holds a master’s degree in Leadership from Trident University International. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 205 Blue) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 20100).

At sea, his assignments include 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Force Service Support Group; USS Key West (SSN 722); USS Florida (SSGN 728) (GOLD); and chief of the boat, USS Charlotte (SSN 766).

Ashore, he served as a corpsman at Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; instructor and program manager for the Independent Duty Corpsman and Undersea Medical Officer courses at Naval Undersea Medical Institute; and senior immediate supervisor in charge, Naval Submarine Readiness Squadron 33.
 
He reported to Trident Training Facility Bangor as command master chief in November 2023.
 
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various unit, campaign and service awards.
