Commander Tim L. Raymie

Cmdr. Raymie, a native of Rock Island, Illinois, began his naval service in April 1989 as an enlisted intelligence specialist. In May 2001, he commissioned as a limited duty officer and in 2008, selected as an intelligence officer. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Naval War College and Joint Forces Staff College.
 
His operational tours include Attack Squadron (VA) 52; USS Arkansas (CGN 41); Joint Interagency Task Force South in the Republic of Panama; Carrier Strike Group 3 embarked aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70); Destroyer Squadron 9 as the N2; targeting officer for Carrier Air Wing 11 embarked aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68); U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in the Kingdom of Bahrain; Special Reconnaissance Team 1 as the N2; Joint Intelligence Support Element director for the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Afghanistan; and N2 for Carrier Strike Group 7.
 
Ashore, Raymie served at Electronic Attack Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet; Fleet Intelligence Training Center, Pacific as an instructor; Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare / Director of Naval Intelligence as flag aide; Naval Personnel Command as junior intelligence officer detailer; and Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command as executive officer.
 
Raymie assumed command of Information Warfare Training Command San Diego in June 2020.
 
He is qualified as an information warfare officer and enlisted aviation warfare and surface warfare specialist. In addition to multiple personal, unit, and campaign awards, he is also the recipient of the 2016 Rear Admiral Edwin T. Layton Award for Leadership and Mentorship.
