Lieutenant Commander Clint E. Newman

Lt. Cmdr. Clint Newman, a native of Anniston, Alabama, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June 2000 as an aviation support equipment technician.  He was commissioned through the Officer Candidate School Program in October 2009.  He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Master of Science in Leadership.

Newman's enlisted tours of duty include USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7); Naval Air Technical Training Center, Pensacola, Florida; and the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, Blue Angels.

His commissioned tours of duty include Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 146; Strike Fighter Wing Pacific Detachment  Fallon, and USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).

Newman currently serves as the assistant officer in charge at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Eglin.

Lapse in Appropriations: The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025.
Military personnel will continue in normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
