Master Chief Jason Thrash

Master Chief Jason Thrash, a native of South Beard, North Carolina, graduated from Cape Fear High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He entered the U.S. Navy on Oct. 8, 1997 and completed basic training and airman apprenticeship training at Great Lakes in February 1998.
 
His sea and operational tours include USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) from 1998 to 2001; Ship Intermediate Maintenance Activity San Diego from 2001 to 2002; USS Constellation (CV 64) from 2002 to 2003; Training Support Center San Diego from 2003 to 2006; USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) from 2006 to 2011; Afloat Training Group San Diego from 2011 to 2015; and USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) from 2015 to 2019.
 
He reported as senior enlisted leader, Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit North Island in January 2019.
 
Thrash’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various unit awards.
