Senior Chief Equipment Operator Angelo R. Woodrow

Senior Chief Woodrow, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in September 2001. After completing recruit training in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Equipment Operator “A” School in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He is a qualified specialist in enlisted Seabee combat warfare, expeditionary warfare, and aviation warfare.
 
His operational assignments include Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133 Alfa Company in Gulfport, Mississippi, deploying three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 202 Alfa Company in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as transportation supervisor, yard boss, dispatcher and collateral custodian; Naval Special Warfare Group 2 Logistics and Support Unit, deploying to Afghanistan with Seal Team 10 as the logistical air operations leading petty officer, and upon returning to the transportation department as leading petty officer; and Strategic Communications Wing 1 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as the mobility department leading chief petty officer.
 
Ashore, he also served as the production leading chief petty officer and senior enlisted leader for the Public Works Department Naples, Italy.
 
He reported as the assistant officer in charge and senior enlisted leader for Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering Det. Fort Leonard Wood in May 2020.
 
Woodrow’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various campaign and unit awards.
