Command Master Chief Jeremy Douglas

Command Master Chief Douglas, a native of Crown Point, Indiana, enlisted in May 1998 and attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois.  After completion, he attended Machinist Mate Nuclear Field “A” School in Orlando, Florida, followed by Nuclear Power School and Nuclear Power Training Unit (MTS 635) in Charleston, South Carolina.  His academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State College, the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 181), and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course.  

Douglas’ previous assignments include USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75); staff instructor with Nuclear Power Training Unit (MTS 635); USS George Washington (CVN 73); Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic Surface Nuclear Power Mobile Training Team; USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) as the plankowner reactor department master chief; and USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) as command master chief. 

He currently serves as the command master chief of Surface Warfare Schools Command.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other service and campaign awards.  He is also qualified as a Master Training Specialist.
