Commander Terrance Flournoy

Cmdr. Terrance Flournoy, a native of Sparkill, New York, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1994 and attended Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois. He was commissioned as a limited duty officer in November 2004.
 
His enlisted tours of duty include service aboard USS Essex (LHD 2); at Naval Aviation Technical Training Center Pensacola, Florida, as an instructor; and aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).
 
After commissioning, Flournoy reported to Naval Air Station Pensacola for Mustang University indoctrination.
 
Flournoy’s operational assignments include USS Nimitz (CVN 68) as crash and salvage officer; USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as crash and salvage officer; and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) as the flight deck officer. He also served a second tour aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) as the aircraft handling officer.
 
His shore tours include service as the diversity director for Commander, Navy Recruiting Command in Millington, Tennessee.  Flournoy also served as the operations officer at Navy Recruiting District Phoenix, Arizona.
 
He is currently the officer in charge, Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Lakehurst, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.
 
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (eight awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), Good Conduct Medal (four awards), along with various unit and service awards.
