Chief Warrant Officer 5 David A. Meissner II

Chief Warrant Officer 5 David A. Meissner II, a native of Enid, Oklahoma, enlisted in the Navy in 1995. Upon completion of recruit training in Great Lakes, Illinois, he completed aviation electronics technician school in Millington, Tennessee. He was commissioned in May 2010. He is a graduate of Troy University and holds a Master of Science in Management.  

His enlisted tours include duty at Patrol Squadron (VP) 30, Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, Florida; Work Center 640 leading petty officer and quality assurance representative at Special Projects Patrol Squadron (VPU) 2, Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; common core lead instructor and apprentice technical training course supervisor at Naval Air Technical Training Center, NAS Pensacola, Florida; Work Center 210 branch chief, maintenance control supervisor, and quality assurance supervisor at Patrol Squadron (VP) 8, NAS Brunswick, Maine.

His tours as an officer include Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 1, NAS Whidbey Island, Washington, where he served as the maintenance material control officer (MMCO), detachment maintenance officer, and avionics configurations officer; AV/ARM division officer, quality assurance officer, and MMCO at the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment at Atsugi, Japan; assistant maintenance officer and MMCO at Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan.

Meissner currently serves as the officer in charge, Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards).
