Aviation Machinist's Mate Senior Chief Petty Officer Emefre Nkere

Senior Chief Petty Officer Emefre Nkere, a native of Nigeria, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June 1997.  He attended Aviation Machinist Mate School in Pensacola, Florida, in 2000. He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy.

His sea assignments include: USS Supply (AOE 6), Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11, Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 211, Patrol Squadron (VP) 26, and Patrol Squadron (VP) 45. 

His ashore tours include: Patrol Squadron (VP) 30, and Fleet Readiness Center Southeast. 

Nkere currently serves as the senior enlisted leader at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Tinker, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

His military decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Good Conduct Medal (seven awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and various unit awards.
