Lt. Cmdr. Eddie Martin Jr. is a native of Cantonment, Florida and a 2007 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in economics. He holds a Masters of Arts in defense and strategic studies with concentration in corporate strategic planning from the U.S. Naval War College. Martin is a Navy intelligence officer, qualified information warfare officer and qualified afloat targeting officer.
His intelligence community assignments include Navy Cyber Warfare Development Group as the division officer of Russian and Iranian team, program manager of Modeling and Simulation Division and team chief for the Cryptologic Support Group; Defense Intelligence Agency (PENTAGON) as a South Asia (India/Small Countries) analyst, deployed as the support team lead to Embassy Dhaka, Bangladesh, served as a J2 briefer (India/Pakistan/ Afghanistan) on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff J2 briefer; CARRIER AIRWING SEVENTEEN as the air wing targeteer onboard USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70) during a U.S. FIFTH Fleet combat operations deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve ; Naval Aviation Warfare Development Center as the targeting support officer providing direct support to combatant commanders and forward-deployed air wings supporting FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet Operations; Naval Information Force Reserve- Region Washington, D.C. as assistant officer-in-charge providing full-time support to reserve information warfare community.
He assumed his duties as the executive officer of Information Warfare Training Command Monterey in August 2021.
