Major Kyle R. Kuhn

Maj. Kyle R. Kuhn graduated Officer Candidate School in August 2010. After returning to school for his final year, he graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and commissioned as a second lieutenant in June 2011. He has a Master of Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University.

Kuhn, an aircraft maintenance officer, reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 14 at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point in North Carolina, for his first fleet assignment in December 2012.  He served as the Ground Support Equipment Division, Airframes Division, and Aviation Life Support Systems Division officer in charge.

In July 2013, he reported to Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron (VMAQ) 4 at MCAS Cherry Point, where he served as the EA-6B maintenance and material control officer (MMCO). As the MMCO, he supported exercises Red Flag at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Weapons Tactics Instructor at MCAS Yuma in Yuma, Arizona. He deployed in 2014 to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Inherent Resolve, and Freedom’s Sentinel. Upon return from the unit’s deployment, Kuhn received orders to recruiting duty.

In June 2015, Kuhn reported to Recruiting Station (RS) Nashville, Tennessee, and assumed the duties as operations officer. In March 2018, he assumed the duties as the executive officer for RS Nashville, and managed the command’s structure change transition from 6th Marine Corps District (MCD) to 4th MCD.

In July 2019, Kuhn reported to the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as the assistant officer in charge.

Kuhn currently serves as officer in charge for CNATT Detachment Camp Pendleton.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
