Master Chief Reynolds enlisted in the Navy in February 1995 and attended basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois. He completed Yeoman (YN) “A” School at Naval Technical Training Center Meridian, Mississippi.

Reynolds is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Leadership School, and designated as a specialist in information, surface, expeditionary, and aviation warfare areas. In addition, he is a designated master training specialist.

His earlier assignments include Security Detachment, Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico as an administrative assistant and security patrolman; USS Ramage (DDG 61) as a legal clerk; Iceland Defense Force as leading petty officer of the administrative department; Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, as a recruit division commander and battle stations facilitator; Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 12 as the headquarters leading chief petty officer; and Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detachment Rota, Spain, as the administrative department leading chief petty officer.

His command senior enlisted leader and command master chief tours include Mine Countermeasures Ship Crew Exultant where his crew served aboard USS Dextrous (MCM 13), USS Scout (MCM 8), and USS Pioneer (MCM 9); Littoral Combat Ships Crew 109, which was the commissioning crew for USS Little Rock (LCS 9); and Patrol Squadron (VP) 10. 

Reynolds joined Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station in April 2021.

His decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
