Lieutenant Commander Adam W. Tabbert

Lt. Cmdr. Adam Tabbert, a native of Eldorado, Wisconsin, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November 1994.  After graduating recruit training in Great Lakes, Illinois in January 1995, he then reported to Naval Training Center San Diego, California where he attended Interior Communications Electrician “A” school. In April 2009, he was selected for the Limited Duty Officer Program and commissioned as an electronics materials officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management from DeVry University.
 
His sea duty assignments include USS Barry (DDG 52), USS James E. Williams (DDG 95), USS Enterprise (CVN 65), USS Rentz (FFG 46), USS Elrod (FFG 55) and USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
 
Ashore, Tabbert served as an electronics training department head at Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment West in San Diego, California.
 
He reported as executive officer, Surface Warfare Engineering School Command Great Lakes in July 2020.
 
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Good Conduct Medal (three awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
