Senior Chief Machinist’s Mate Auxiliary Jason W. Lachowitzer

Senior Chief Machinist’s Mate Auxiliary Jason W. Lachowitzer, a native of Minnesota, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2001.

His first sea duty assignment was aboard USS Bremerton (SSN 698) in San Diego as part of the auxiliary division from 2002 to 2006. Other sea tours include USS Jefferson City (SSN 759), where he completed three Western Pacific deployments, as well as USS Key West (SSN 722).

Lachowitzer’s shore tours include the Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Bangor, as well as a first tour at Submarine Training Facility (STF) San Diego, where he served as engineering department chief. He returned to STF San Diego in 2020, where he now serves as senior enlisted leader.

Lachowitzer’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various campaign and unit commendations.
