Lieutenant Commander Tyrone Waller II

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lt. Cmdr. Tyrone Waller II earned a commission through Officer Candidate School in 2009 after graduating from The Ohio State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Aviation from Ohio State and a master’s degree in Cyber Systems and Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School.

His operational tours of duty include signals evaluator on the EP-3E all source reconnaissance aircraft, information warfare and electronic warfare officer aboard USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77), and cryptologic resource coordinator for Commander, Carrier Strike Group 3.

Ashore, Waller served as an operations watch officer at National Security Agency, Georgia and deputy section chief, Computer Network Operations, National Security Agency, Maryland.

Waller currently serves as executive officer, Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.

His personal awards include the Air Strike/Fight Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
