Commander Todd Arnold

Cmdr. Todd Arnold enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June 1990. He received his bachelor’s in Finance from Old Dominion University and was commissioned via the Enlisted Commissioning Program in 2002.
 
Arnold’s sea tours include division officer, USS Mitscher (DDG 57), where he qualified officer of the day, surface warfare officer, engineering officer of the watch, and command duty officer while completing one U.S. 5th Fleet (C5F) / U.S. 6th Fleet (C6F) deployment; ship-to-shore officer, Amphibious Squadron 2 (PHIBRON 2), where he completed a surge deployment to United States European Command and United States Naval Forces Southern Command; engineering officer, USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79), where he guided the ship from a selective restricted availability through a composite training unit exercise; material officer; Amphibious Squadron 4 (PHIBRON 4), where he completed an eight-month Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group deployment to the C5F/C6F areas of responsibility; and most recently, executive officer, USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41), where he guided the ship through a 24-month Chief of Naval Operations availability.
 
His shore assignments include operational test and evaluation force for ashore; operational test director for the Rolling Airframe Missile; tactical mentor at Afloat Training Group Norfolk; and his most recent assignment was at Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command working as the N8/N9’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense/Ballistic Missile Defense requirements officer. He reported as executive officer, Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) Hampton Roads Nov. 2019. 

Arnold’s personal awards include multiple Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
