Command Master Chief Jeffrey Hogan

Master Chief Hogan is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He joined the U.S. Navy in May 1997 under the Advanced Electronics Computer Field program. Following boot camp, he reported to Naval Station Great Lakes (NSGL) and attended Advanced Technical Training School followed by Electronics Technician “A” School, graduating in June 1998. He is a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course Class 179 and Senior Enlisted Academy Class 196.
 
Hogan’s sea duty tours include USS Peterson (DD 969); USS Hopper (DDG 70); USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19); and USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41).  During these tours, he served as work center supervisor, leading petty officer and leading chief petty officer (LCPO) for combat systems electronics divisions and command master chief (CMC). He logged three Arabian Gulf deployments, one Ballistic Missile Defense deployment to the Sea of Japan, one Mediterranean cruise, and 18 ports through the Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet diplomacy mission. 
 
His shore tours include Southern Region Signal Support Regiment-Naples, Italy; Center Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit-Keesler; Recruit Training Command, Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet Navy Data Center, Yokosuka; and NSGL.  During these tours, he served as North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s communication technician for multi-national ships and submarines, calibration instructor, and education training evaluation department LCPO and CMC. He also completed a mid-tour individual augmentee assignment in Kosovo while stationed at Keesler Air Force Base.
 
In November 2020, he reported as the CMC for Surface Combat Systems Training Command Hampton Roads in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
 
Hogan’s personal awards include numerous Marine Corps Commendation Medals and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and various unit, campaign, and service awards.
