Captain Nathan C. Isfort

Capt. Nathan C. Isfort graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Upon graduation, he attended Officer Candidate School and commissioned as a second lieutenant in November 2017. He graduated The Basic School in July 2018 and is designated an aircraft maintenance officer.

Isfort reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 16 at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar San Diego, California, in August 2018. During his tenure with MALS-16, he served as the ground support equipment division officer in charge and served on a temporary assignment duty to attend Aviation Maintenance Officer School in Milton, Florida, from October to December 2018.

He reported to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 166 at MCAS Miramar in June 2019, where he served as the MV-22 material control officer (MCO) and assistant aircraft maintenance officer (AAMO). As the MCO, Isfort supported exercises Steel Night at MCAS Miramar, served as a weapons tactics instructor at MCAS Yuma in Yuma, Arizona, supported Service Level Training Exercise at 29 Palms, California, as well as supporting multiple detachments for training across the west coast. He deployed in March 2020 to Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti and Al Jaber, Kuwait, as part of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crisis-Response Central-Command. 

Isfort reported to Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Camp Pendleton, California, as acting officer in charge in January 2025. 

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
