Cryptologic Technician Interpretive Master Chief Laura T. Stout

Master Chief Laura T. Stout, a native of St. Petersburg, Fla., enlisted in the Navy in 1997, and attended recruit training in Great Lakes, Ill. Stout advanced to petty officer 3rd class before laterally converting to the Cryptologic Technician Interpretive (CTI) rating in 1999. Stout attended CTI “A” school in Monterey, Calif., followed by “C” school training at Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas.

Stout earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Spanish from the Defense Language Institute, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. She is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy
Stout’s sea tours include USS Oakridge (ARDM 1) located in Groton, Conn., USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) located in San Diego, Calif. Stout served as aircrew with VQ-1 and VQ-2 located on Whidbey Island, Wash.

Ashore, Stout’s assignments include Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA) Medina, and Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Texas, San Antonio, Texas;  Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.; Naval Information Force Reserve, Pensacola, Fla; Senior Enlisted Academy, Newport, R.I.;  and Chief of Naval Personnel Staff (OPNAV N13F), Arlington, Va.

Stout assumed the duties as senior enlisted leader of Information Warfare Training Command Monterey in Nov. 2022.

Stout earned her Master Training Specialist certificate and is designated an aircrewman, and specialist in surface, air and information warfare. Her awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Meritorious Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various campaign and unit awards.
