Commander Gary L. Hudson

Cmdr. Gary Hudson, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1991 and completed Yeoman “A” School. In April 2008, he was selected for the Limited Duty Officer Program and commissioned as an administrative officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and two master’s degrees in human resource management and education from Touro University. 
 
His sea duty assignments include Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 213; USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72); Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5; administrative and legal officer at NMCB 3; administrative and public affairs officer aboard USS Emory S. Land (AS 39); and administrative officer aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).
 
Ashore, Hudson served with Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in the Staff Judge Advocate’s office; Commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing 2; flag secretary to the Commander at Navy Region Midwest; administrative officer at VFA-101; officer in charge at Naval Support Activity Bahrain; and as the deputy force personnel readiness and enlisted distribution for Commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
 
Hudson reported to Surface Warfare Engineering Schools Command Great Lakes as executive officer in October 2022.
 
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards); Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (eight awards, one with Combat “V”); and various personal and unit awards.
