SENIOR CHIEF RELIGIOUS PROGRAM SPECIALIST (SW/AW/IW) BRANDON R. REED

Senior Chief Religious Program Specialist Brandon Reed, a native of Bothell, Washington, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2009. After completing boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he completed Religious Program Specialist “A” School in 2010. He is a 2010 graduate of  Chaplain and Religious Program Specialist Expeditionary Skills Training, 2020 graduate of the Maritime Staff Operators Course, and 2023 graduate of the Navy Instructor Training Course.

His operational tours include USS George Washington (CVN 73) and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), both homeported at Yokosuka, Japan, where he served as the command religious ministries department leading petty officer during the carrier homeport swap in 2015. He also served as the fleet religious program specialist on the U.S. 7th Fleet staff embarked on USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) homeported at Yokosuka.
 
Ashore, he served as chapel leading petty officer at Marine Corps Station Iwakuni, Japan, and administrative department leading chief petty officer at Fleet Activities Yokosuka.

Reed reported to Naval Chaplaincy School as senior enlisted leader in April 2023.

He is qualified as an enlisted aviation, information and surface warfare specialist. His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards); and various unit and personal awards.
