Lieutenant Commander Casey Elbare

Lt. Cmdr. Casey Elbare is a native of Tampa, Florida.  He joined the Navy as a fire control technician in 1997.  Elbare is a 2006 graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and he holds a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College (Halsey Alpha Fellow).  He received his commission through Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island, in 2008.

His operational staff assignments include intelligence officer, Amphibious Squadron 3; deputy information warfare commander, USS Makin Island (LHD 8) Amphibious Ready Group; and special programs officer, U.S. Pacific Fleet Deputy Director of Intelligence and Information Operations.
 
His tactical assignments include intelligence officer, SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team 1; intelligence assistant department head, Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 1; and assistant officer-in-charge, Commander Task Group 57.1, 72.5, and Commander Task Force 37. He also served and deployed on USS Columbia (SSN 771) and USS Boston (SSN 703).
 
Elbare assumed his duties as executive officer of Information Warfare Training Command Monterey in July 2023.
 
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various campaign and service medals.
