Master Chief Aircraft Maintenanceman Ray A. Hawver III

Master Chief Aircraft Maintenanceman Ray A. Hawver III, a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1998 and after boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended Aviation Structural Mechanic (AM) “A” School. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 235, Blue).
 
His operational assignments include Patrol Squadron (VP) 65, Point Mugu, California; Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 61, Whidbey Island, Washington; Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 85, San Diego, California; Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 209, Whidbey Island, Washington and VR-61, where he was selected for master chief petty officer and served as the maintenance master chief petty officer.
 
His shore assignments include Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 30, Point Mugu, California and VAQ-129, Whidbey Island, Washington.
 
Hawver reported to Center for Aviation Technical Training Unit Whidbey Island as senior enlisted leader in January 2023.
 
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and service awards.
 
He is qualified as an enlisted aviation warfare specialist.
